What to do after an Auto Accident
Request medical assistance if someone is injured. If you are uncertain, call an ambulance.
Call the police, even if the accident is minor.
If the accident is minor and there are no serious injuries, move cars to a safe place.
Exchange information with the other driver. Write down the other driver’s name, address, phone number, license plate number and insurance information. The driver may not be the owner of the vehicle so be sure to write down the owner’s name, address and phone number. If possible, get witness information.
Call our office and we will contact the appropriate claim office to ensure that claim information is reported and acted upon promptly.
If the damage is minor and the car is drivable, get an estimate for repairs. If the car is not drivable, have it towed to your repair shop.
Please do not make any permanent repairs until the insurance adjuster has inspected the damage.
